A logic game you'll get in one minute

The board is a block of flats seen from the front: floors, columns and flats. Each neighbour gives a clue about where they were («there was a canary on my floor», «I was to the left of Toni»…). With three fixed rules, one neighbour per floor, at most one per flat and nobody shares a wall with anybody, you work out which room each of them was in.

Once everyone is placed, look for the open window: only one neighbour is in a room with an open window, and that's the culprit.

Made for adults (without being impossible)

No maths, no memory tricks: everything follows from the clues. Cases range from very easy to extreme, so you can start with a five-minute one on the bus and end up with one that keeps you thinking on the sofa for a good while.

Stuck? The 💡 Hint button looks at your own board and explains the next step of the deduction, or tells you if you've crossed out something you shouldn't have.
